WCWAUT26377 Staying Human in an AI World

Staying Human in an AI World

Artificial intelligence is reshaping education - bringing both opportunity, new challenges, change and uncertainty. This session creates space to pause, reflect and consider what it means to stay grounded, purposeful and fully human in a world of increasing automation.

The focus is on the relational and emotional dimensions of teaching that technology cannot replicate - and on practical tools for managing the very real downsides of AI for themselves and their students.

A thought-provoking conversation for teachers navigating this new landscape.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Reflect on the evolving role of the teacher and school leader in an AI-influenced world - and what remains irreplaceable
  2. Identify the uniquely human qualities they bring to their work and how to protect and nurture them
  3. Understand the latest thinking on both the opportunities and downsides of AI - for themselves and their studentsscreenshot 2026 07 13 123634
